Content Management


The content management service provides the ability to manage content for media and articles. Any of the Articles and Media will be available to websites who inherit from a parent website. Also, there is a section to manage tags. Make note the content management service will be available for the owners of the parent website, such as MINDBODY or ICON.

Two elements associated with the content management are:


Media


On the media element tab, there are some filters in which you can use to narrow down the media listed. In the textarea, you can input words that are located in the media's title or tags that may be associated with any of the media. Just to the right of the keyword/tag search is an AZ and Date sort button. Also, the number's 25, 50, and 100 tell you the number of media listed before you'll need to paginate to another set of media. You can change the amount of viewed media by clicking a number and that amount of media will show per page.

When clicking on the media item, a details section pop out from the right providing all kinds of options for you.


Just to the right of the numbered pagination is a dropdown giving you the option to sort by media types. The options are Images, Videos and Documents


Media Details

Here is a highlight of some of the media details you can utilize.

-- A tiny url is a provided if you want someone to link to your media.

-- you can either edit or delete the media from here as well.

-- Click the download button if you want to download media

-- Add tags if you feel a desire to provide more description.

-- You can change the filename.

-- You can add Alternate text and Caption.

After editing any changes please click the save button.


Uploading Media


Clicking on the upload button from the main media screen will bring you to this screen allowing you too upload media. To upload media, click the green "Add Media" button, then select your media. Before being able to publish(Save) the media, you'll need to add at least one tag. If you don't add a tag, you'll get a red warning line notating the need to add a tag. Once a tag is added and the publish button is clicked, you'll see green bars scrolling across the screen. When they go away the media will be uploaded.


Edit media


Clicking on the "edit" link associated with the media will pop up a photo editor allowing a plethora of options to enhance the way the media appears.

Be sure to click save when finished enhancing the image!


Articles


On the article tab, there are some filters in which you can use to narrow down the articles listed. Also, the number's 25, 50, and 100 tell you the number of articles listed before you'll need to paginate to another list of articles.

You'll view a listing of articles with the options of editing, deleting and adding tags.

Click "Add Article" to get to the adding article screen.


To create an article, fill in the article title with the section name and, in the editor, fill in the article body. To the right, add any relevant tags.

Very important! Directly below the tags is a lock/unlock toggle. When the toggle is "On", the article is locked, meaning the article can not be changed by some one in the article element. Click the unlock image if you want it to be editable.

After it is the way you want the article, click "Update".


Tags


The tags tab lists all of the tags in your account. There is a pencil icon associated with the tag, click on it to edit the tag. Also, to the right of the tag is an article icon with a number and a media icon with another number. The numbers list how many times the tag is used for each the article and media. Clicking on the icon will take you to either the Media or Article tabs filtered by the tag name. Clicking on any of the letters in the alphabet will filter tags and only the tags starting with that letter.
