LiveEdit site URLs are initially structured with “/pages” contained in the URL strain. While this will not harm your sites performance, it can be more aesthetically pleasing to you and your potential customers to have that portion removed.

To remove "/pages" from your URL strain, follow these steps.

  1. Log into your LiveEdit website and go to the dashboard.

  1. Click on account info.

  1. In the account settings menu, click on the 6th option, "Manage Your Redirects"

  1. In the "Manage Your Redirects" menu, click "Add Redirect"

  1. In the "Add Redirect" menu, find the "Pattern" field, and enter in ^\/pages\/([^\/]*)$

  1. In the "Add Redirect" menu, find the "Redirect To" field, and enter in /$1

  1. Still in the "Add Redirect" menu, choose "Permanent" from the "Type" dropdown menu.

  1. Click "Add Redirect"

If steps were completed correctly, the "/pages" portion of your website's URL will be removed, resulting in a clean URL structure that you and your clients will love.

If "/pages" is still visible and you have tried steps 4- 8 again, please submit a ticket to our support team and we will get in touch with you as soon as we can.
